Alexander (Sasha) Bystritsky, MD, PhD

BrainSonix was founded by Dr. Alexander (Sasha) Bystritsky, a renowned neuropsychiatrist and Professor Emeritus at UCLA. Dr. Bystritsky is a pioneer in neuromodulation – in fact, he invented and first demonstrated the low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFUP) technique for human brain modulation– and he continues to lead our company as CEO. Under his leadership, we have assembled a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and researchers dedicated to advancing safe, precise, and non-invasive brain stimulation. Our core team’s expertise spans psychiatry and neurology, biomedical engineering,

ultrasound physics, and clinical research. This depth and diversity of knowledge drives our innovation at every step, from device design to clinical trials. We are united by a mission to translate state-of-the-art ultrasound technology from the laboratory to the clinic, bridging the gap between scientific innovation and real-world patient impact. Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel

John H. Marlow, Esq.

Mr. Marlow leads legal and corporate strategy at BrainSonix. He is also Managing Director – EMEA at RingCentral (NYSE: RNG), where he previously served as General Counsel, SVP of Corporate Development, and Board Member. Before that, he practiced corporate and securities law, advising venture capital firms and private companies.

He holds a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law and a BA, summa cum laude, from Colgate University.

Head of Compliance and Engineering Operations

Serge Bozin

Mr. Bozin brings over three decades of experience in engineering management, quality systems, and regulatory compliance for Class II and III medical devices. At BrainSonix, he oversees vendor relationships, engineering operations, and regulatory alignment, drawing on prior leadership roles at Abbott, Medtronic, and Epredia where he managed global teams and ensured compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and EU MDR standards.

He holds an MS in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the Moscow Electro Technical Institute of Telecommunications and is a Senior Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Head of Customer Relations

Andrew Bishay

Mr. Bishay is the Head of Customer Relations at BrainSonix, where he is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences and fostering long-term relationships with clients. His expertise spans customer service, product development, and client management, making him a key figure in optimizing BrainSonix’s relationship with its customers.

He holds a BS in Physiological Sciences from UCLA and is currently applying to medical school.
